I have opened a support case with Graphon. I have a maintenance contract with them. I have not yet heard back from them.

I reviewed all of the Windows Updates that occured on one of my servers, and guestimated each one's likelyhood of causing problems with Graphon. It ended up with 3 likely, 3 somewhat likely, 3 unlikely and 5 unlikely.

I'm removing three Updates at a time, based on the likelyhood. I'll post more information as I discover more.

Hi all,

The following information should help:

Windows Update KB3070102, which Microsoft released on July 14, 2015, is incompatible with all previously released versions of GO-Global for Windows on all versions of Windows except Windows XP. GO-Global 5.0.0.21965 supports KB3070102. GraphOn will soon release a Compatibility Update that will add support for KB3070102 to older versions of GO-Global. In the meantime, affected customers can either uninstall KB3070102 or upgrade to version 5.0.0.21965.

Hope this helps,
Troy

Just saw the administrator's post about removing 3070102.

I'm posting to report that I removed the following three updates:
3069392
3070102
3068457

Graphon is now working again for us.

FYI, prior to this, the server would crash every time the first Graphon user would attempt to connect. The Graphon client would not show the UserName or Password prompt, or even the splash screen before that. The client sits there for minutes before reporting that it could not connect to the server. During that time, your server has probably had a BSOD and possibly already rebooting.

This BSOD error is also known as “ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY” and “STOP 0x000000BE“. Some users of Windows have reported this error, which normally appears on the screen during the initialization of the system.

To check if the error is caused by a faulty drive, run an automatic driver update or manually update the drivers to the latest available versions.

To manually update a driver, follow these steps:

Click Start
Type in devmgmt.msc in the search box
Click devmgmt from results list
Right-click on the driver
To update the driver, select Update Driver Software.
To disable the driver, select Disable.
To uninstall the driver, select Uninstall.

To run an automatic driver update, follow these steps:

Click Start
Go to Devices and Printers
Right-click on your computer
Select Device Installation Settings
Select Yes, do this automatically
Click Save Changes
